The Storm Ride!

Today,or yesterday since its after 12 already, was our weekly friday ride for KUWAIT RIDERS, as usual, we gathered in Marina at 3.30pm, stopped for briefing about the ride plan, then we rolled out, the weather was nice, I was the safety officer in the ride, it was all good till we reached the road of "Sabiya" and we started to notice the sand cloud forming in the horizon, we didnt really care till we saw it covering the sun on our left side, and it was getting darker, I drove fast to the road captain and gave him the signal of "heads up left" to check the frightning view, we cancelled the ride and headed back to the city, all the way to 360 mall, it was our only destination we could think about that time. But by the time we were there, the sand storm already got us, and filled up the whole parking all the way to the basement, and got inside the mall, it was scary to see that, it felt like it was a war zone, all the people were panicking, and trying to escape, but even that wasnt a good idea, one of our friends started to have a hard time breathing, since he was asthmatic, so I had to get the mall medics to help. I couldnt believe my eyes when I saw the number of people were inside that tiny room there, and the paramedics cant keep up with everybody, although they were doing a great job, it took us over two hours just to get our friend to recover from his condition, and finally we got on our bikes and scattered each one to his house, no formation what so ever, I stayed with my friend though "the asthmatic one"since his car was at my house, and el7emdilla we arrived safely, it was one of the toughest rides I ever had.

I got few pics to show what we went through, but honestly, I cant say it was somehow an adventure. WOW

The previous two pics were taken in the shelter of 360 mall. evac point, what kills me is there was one girl between all the coughing elders, crying kids, and panicking people, asked for a bottle of water and tissue, she go the tissue wet and started to clean her "white shoes" and fixing her make up!!!! I mean seriously

Sorry the pics not clear, but it was taken on 160km/h speed.....we were chased by the storm!! hehe

The white truck next to me, nice guy..he actually invited us to his house, offered to have us all til the storm calm down

All I can say about what happened today is "Sub7an Allah" really,what happened today made us feel how small we are compared to nature, the creation of Allah.

KTV SUCKs..so does Shbab q8!!

When you wake up at 7.00AM in a weekend, wash your bike in our freezing cold weather of kuwait, meet up, and waste our time, and waste our ride..just so KTV can shot some clips for us answering a really dumb Questions, get on our bikes with us, and the camera man with me, with his GIANT 1981 camera, risk my safty riding around the group, cuz the director wanted to take shots from all angles..all that, with no special thanx for the team, cuz like they said, it will be an advertisment if they put the name "Goldwing" in the credits....Dumb A$$es!!

And finally, they told us it will be on 6.00PM friday.....OK, 5.30PM friday, KM pushed the record button, 3 hours+ tape, and leave..came back in the night, checked the tape, and the result..NOTHING, no interview, no clips....NOTHING

I asked the guys the next day, if anyone cought the "Shbab q8" show yeasterday...Nothing!

KTV, when you are gonna tetsani3ooon, wulla fashaltoona, and the funny thing, I checked on line for the programs, they were different than the news paper "alseyasa", and "alqabas" too, and online still ramadan programs for some reason, and the tv guide ba3ad mala sho`3ol belsalfa marra wa7da.....Wulla fashlaaa!!

You gotta love these people, I really enjoy talking to them, the way they use the words and sounds, like the letter "A" is pronuonced "yea", "w" is pronounced "v", "E" is "yee"....

Even the words, they usually use the word "expired" instead of "died" or "passed away"!!

Unfortunatly, lots of people underestimate Indians, although that they are one of the most devoted people when it comes to knowledge and science..

Indian shuttles reached space earlier this month, and we are still arguing with our neighbors about unifying our GCC ID's and currency!!

Yesterday early in the morning, I went with my cousins to "7abal", which means beards hunting with traps, it was my first, me and my brother, we were six, three in each car.

We headed to north of Kuwait and arrived around 4.45am...the weather was amazing, and there was a couple of eagles and other birds, I still can't remember their names yet, LoL

It was fun, until 8.30am...it started to get hot, and boring a little, plus I had some stuff to finish in the city, and I've been told that we were gonna finish around 8.30 or 9.00..but I didn't want to mess up there 6al3a, so we stayed longer, around 9.00 I lost the excitement, and I started to get sleepy, thirsty and so freakin BORED, and we didn't catch that much, So me and my brother 7alafna that this will be our last time to come, unless we come in my truck next time, so we can leave whenever we want. A5555 it got so stupid and mlaqa, and definitely it wasn't a good idea to do that in Ramadan...Gosh, I was so thirsty, and what killed me more was when we stopped to give the birds water, Cuz Mr and Mrs birdies are thirsty...la wulla 7elwa hathy, lesh ma y9oomoon....a55555 it was devastating.

Any ways, after 10.00am we left the place, my luck I was with my older cousin, he is a beards and eagles addict, so they decided to go to soog el9goor to change the damn mask for his bird, to hell if I care man, I just want to go home...Damn

It was fun, but not worth it....it should be in a colder time...that's all, now enjoy the pics =D

Why?

We are the Epitomy of Bad Luck!!! Read on........

Another adventure, another story, a cocktail of bad luck and timing. I was guna write this post, but I thought NoNoWa wud describe it much better. So, NoNOWa- take the lead!

Here is our story of woe! Yes...WOE! We just want to exhibit our bad luck and bad timing. And also why being late is something unevitable even though it wasnt our fault. It all began with us going to meet up with some friends- u know who u are guys!! :) Well we started out a lil late..like we were supposed to be there at 5:30..but we left the house at 6. Ok thats our fault..but what happens next is not!

It started with KM being tooo lazy and not getting gas before he came home. We jumped in the car and realized we had to get gas, so we went to our neighborhood gas station and of course it was CLOSED! KM figured that the closest station wud be the one on the Gulf Road across the street from Fridays. We were already worried cuz we only had 10kms worth of gas, and that was even before KM had come home from work..so we needed it BAD!

We made it to the gas station=good news.

Gas station closed=bad news.

We thought ..ok they were changing shifts, so we waited...and waited...and waited, and time was running, our friends were waiting and we tried to move on, but the second we did- the lil gauge went to "0 km". Wonderful! :(

We turned into a bus stop and thought we cud just reverse regardless of the tafteesh across the street that had maybe 10 coppers...waiting to give ppl tickets. so we reverse, and as we do---a car has to pull up behind us, y??? Becuz we were there, and there was no other bus stop in the universe except that one. Finally , we made it back to the entrance of the station only to realize that the time was 7:12...as u can see in the pic below.

KM got out of the car, and went to ask the supervisor what the hell is happening....cz we had already been there for 1 hour. He said that out of all the stations in Kuwait, that the company didnt bring the workers to this one and that they wud be late. And y, do u ask?? Bcuz we were there! So much for 24 hour service, huh?
Eventually, a policeman came by since he had seen us there like forever....and asked whats going on? So KM told him and he said he wud go check it out. It turns out that the copper just wanted to take a dump and needed an exscuse. He dissappeared mysteriousely for 20 minutes., and came back to tell us that the workers were on the way, and he didnt believe that we had no gas, so he came and peeked thru the window to check.
At this point our friends left- cuz there was no way in hell we cud make it. Me and KM played every hand game u cud imagine in the car. We joked, we took stupid pics until my phone had no battery left, and we were a bit naughty...u gotta pass the time- know what i mean?!* says KM* LOOL :P

Oh and thats another shot of the cop car--guys its called BOREDOM!Its after 8--we're still there and then a lil Bengali guy comes over to tell us the exciting news. He said"Sorry Baba...bacher ta3al" Which means that the only gas station in Kuwait, that we happened to pull up to- was gonna be closed until the next day.Lucky us........at this point we hit depression and we just kept thinking we are paying a babysitter to watch our kids, so that we can sit in front of a closed gas station.- WOW!!
Anywhoo...there was a guy waiting in line..an angel in a black yukon as KM describes him, who offered to go and get us gas. You see we cudnt call anyone...cz we didnt have cards in our phones- hehe...we always put stuff off!!! As for KM, he thought how stupid wud we look calling someone to come and give us gas, its like.."Hey dude could you just get me Gas, yeah you wanna know where am I.. me..Im in front the gas station"...LOL

Well he got brought us the gas and we made it to another station so we cud fill up the car...and here is the greatest moment of the evening........watch and enjoy! :P

Then we went to Chili's and had a"NoNoWa and KM emancipation moment!!!!

6 unspectacular quirks abt myself!!

1*Its hard to make me feel yuck, even if Im eating..I could watch a complete show about bugs, or anything else could make you feel ecky..but if you want me to leave my food, or feel disgusted..just talk about somebody eating soap or let me smell it while Im eating..the same thing works with eating glass!!

2*I have to have even numbers all the time, the T.V. volume, the radio in the car, when I set the microwave..etc

3*I always take the second item on the shelves, in the super market..when I go shoping for clothes, I always take the second shirt from the same size, never take the first...

4*Whatever happens, what ever it takes, no matter how important what you have at the moment....never ever EVER touch me while Im drinking water, if you wanna kill me touch me ..I choke directly =/

5*Whenever I take anything back, kitchen stuff, books, CDs, towels..etc I never put them back where they go, I just simply put them half meter away from thier original place..to lazy to do it xD

11*Its intersting thing to watch the Doctor stiching my elbow, or take blood, or give me injection..I find it educational, as a matter of fact, I inject my self with pain reliever when Im sick, hehe.
