The Storm Ride!

Today,or yesterday since its after 12 already, was our weekly friday ride for KUWAIT RIDERS, as usual, we gathered in Marina at 3.30pm, stopped for briefing about the ride plan, then we rolled out, the weather was nice, I was the safety officer in the ride, it was all good till we reached the road of "Sabiya" and we started to notice the sand cloud forming in the horizon, we didnt really care till we saw it covering the sun on our left side, and it was getting darker, I drove fast to the road captain and gave him the signal of "heads up left" to check the frightning view, we cancelled the ride and headed back to the city, all the way to 360 mall, it was our only destination we could think about that time. But by the time we were there, the sand storm already got us, and filled up the whole parking all the way to the basement, and got inside the mall, it was scary to see that, it felt like it was a war zone, all the people were panicking, and trying to escape, but even that wasnt a good idea, one of our friends started to have a hard time breathing, since he was asthmatic, so I had to get the mall medics to help. I couldnt believe my eyes when I saw the number of people were inside that tiny room there, and the paramedics cant keep up with everybody, although they were doing a great job, it took us over two hours just to get our friend to recover from his condition, and finally we got on our bikes and scattered each one to his house, no formation what so ever, I stayed with my friend though "the asthmatic one"since his car was at my house, and el7emdilla we arrived safely, it was one of the toughest rides I ever had.

I got few pics to show what we went through, but honestly, I cant say it was somehow an adventure. WOW

The previous two pics were taken in the shelter of 360 mall. evac point, what kills me is there was one girl between all the coughing elders, crying kids, and panicking people, asked for a bottle of water and tissue, she go the tissue wet and started to clean her "white shoes" and fixing her make up!!!! I mean seriously

Sorry the pics not clear, but it was taken on 160km/h speed.....we were chased by the storm!! hehe

The white truck next to me, nice guy..he actually invited us to his house, offered to have us all til the storm calm down

All I can say about what happened today is "Sub7an Allah" really,what happened today made us feel how small we are compared to nature, the creation of Allah.

Yesterday early in the morning, I went with my cousins to "7abal", which means beards hunting with traps, it was my first, me and my brother, we were six, three in each car.

We headed to north of Kuwait and arrived around 4.45am...the weather was amazing, and there was a couple of eagles and other birds, I still can't remember their names yet, LoL

It was fun, until 8.30am...it started to get hot, and boring a little, plus I had some stuff to finish in the city, and I've been told that we were gonna finish around 8.30 or 9.00..but I didn't want to mess up there 6al3a, so we stayed longer, around 9.00 I lost the excitement, and I started to get sleepy, thirsty and so freakin BORED, and we didn't catch that much, So me and my brother 7alafna that this will be our last time to come, unless we come in my truck next time, so we can leave whenever we want. A5555 it got so stupid and mlaqa, and definitely it wasn't a good idea to do that in Ramadan...Gosh, I was so thirsty, and what killed me more was when we stopped to give the birds water, Cuz Mr and Mrs birdies are thirsty...la wulla 7elwa hathy, lesh ma y9oomoon....a55555 it was devastating.

Any ways, after 10.00am we left the place, my luck I was with my older cousin, he is a beards and eagles addict, so they decided to go to soog el9goor to change the damn mask for his bird, to hell if I care man, I just want to go home...Damn

It was fun, but not worth it....it should be in a colder time...that's all, now enjoy the pics =D

The Time is Approaching

Im counting the days, I cant wait to start the group rides...and this year will be better, cuz I got the king of all bikes, the great "GoldWing"..

Plus, my brother got a new bike, my cousin too, and Im in the process of corrupting the rest of my cousins and pull their legs into it, new peeps, and new group, and I still have my biker buddies too..I just cant wait, it will be awesome!

Finally, my bike is fixed and ready..nothing better than early morning ride...freedom man..it just feels like you are in your own world...man I sure miss this feeling..I miss riding my bike, my steel horse..

Amazing Ignorance

The following incident just happened to me in less than one hour..

I was on my way to the CO.OP jam3eyya of our area..and there was this old women looks like my aunt, ( she even has the same car) asked me for help.Apparently she needed to recharge her battery..so I said, "Ok, just let me turn my car toward yours.."

I got of the car, got my jump starters, opened my hood, while she was struggling to open hers, but she did it in the end..

She took a glance at the jump starters and said: Tara lazem now3eyya zeana..

I laughed, and I said dont worry it is. Shakelha mo 3ajebha, coz they were dirty and dusty little bit..so she started to make faces and 7arakat moslsalaat fe her face..I didnt say nothing, I put the wires and waited..

A few minutes later and I asked her to start her engine, she did..and nothin.. happened. It took three times till its started finally..I left it a few seconds and then I moved it..

She thanked me. I responded back, I have to reverse , coz she refused to reverse her car!! All the banghaleyyeen clapping, children around me with their bicycles cheering me, Egyptian man with his camera got the historical moment, sheyyab kuwaiteyyeen msaween 9afga o sharbeka, shalow syyarty 3ala their shoulders...you can get the situation...kel elnas taby teshoof shelsalfa...YA BABA EL7AJEYYA WAGFA SAYYARTHS O ANA SWWETLAHA ESHTERAK..bas hathy dratna..

Now all that was the intro for what I want to tell you, yeah I know..abo6 elliver!!

I parked my car, went inside eljam3eyya, walking to the other end to get what I came for, here is the other entrance of the jam3eyya, wella el7ajeyya dasha eljam3eyya ba3ad @@ WHAAT?? What the hell was she thinking about..ya baba tawny msaweelich ishterak shemda5lech eljam3eyya..It was soooooooo funny, yet strange.

The funny thing about it, I saw her again leaving the family center with brand new jump starters, nafs elnow3eyya elly I have belTHAB6..bas yedeed yelma3..get it,LoL

I hate foam..foam is bad, foam sucks..and I hate every foam sprayer, I hate foam cans..foam stinks, and makes people hate u, please don't spray foam in national day..its just so fu@#ing stupid..makes you look like one too, so don`t..please.

spring break

Wow..what a holiday..what a glorious couple of weeks its been..what a really really yellow vacation we had, I really enjoyed riding my bike in the middle of the breathtaking sandstorms in Kuwait "literally". I actually had a great ride with the Mrs (her birthday) . That was nice day, we had a picnic in al marina crescent, and the other time was riding with the guys last week and the "Shark" like he calls him self, other than that it sucks a D and now its finished..yup done and back to work.
